Our story
Four ingredients, one dog, and a kitchen in Lynden.
Phil's Barkery is a small operation. Everything is mixed, cut, and baked by hand, in batches, in Lynden — and if you order this week, it comes out of the oven this week.
The Triple P Treats have four ingredients: pumpkin, peanuts, whole wheat flour, and eggs. Not four plus a preservative, or four plus something unpronounceable to bind them. Four. We grind the peanuts into butter ourselves, which sounds like overkill right up until you read the labels on a few jars from the shop and find sugar, palm oil and a stabiliser in something that should contain peanuts.
Each bag holds fifteen treats in assorted paw and bone shapes, in a mix of sizes so they work for a Chihuahua and a Lab out of the same bag.
Made to order, genuinely
Plenty of dogs can't eat what's on the shelf. Allergies, sensitive stomachs, a vet-ordered ingredient list, or simply a dog who has decided that apple is the only acceptable flavour. Tell us what your dog needs and we'll bake for it — including birthdays, which we take more seriously than is strictly reasonable.
This is the part a factory can't do, and it's the part we like most.
Phil
Phil is the dog on the bag and the reason any of this exists. He has never once turned down a sample, which makes him cheerful company and a completely unreliable critic.
He is also the reason the list stays at four ingredients. If it isn't something we'd happily hand him, it doesn't go in the bag.
Where we're at
Word of mouth has carried this so far. We're known around Lynden, and there are a few dogs in Los Angeles eating these regularly for no reason other than that their people know our people.
This has been a year and a half in the making. The website is new. The treats are not.
